Jeep News

As part of Operation Safe Return, we launched an initiative to let you directly show your support for the troops. By visiting jeep.com/OSR and sending a story, photo, or message with the #joinOSR hashtag or by logging in to Twitter and tweeting with the #joinOSR hashtag, you’re getting involved. When you take either of these actions, the Jeep® brand will donate $1 to the SAFE Return Fund (up to $300,000) to provide a broad range of support for our returning troops through an integrated partnership with the United Service Organizations (USO). Today, we launch another way you can show your support: ourFacebook profile image updater.

The concept is simple but powerful. Visit the Jeep Facebook page, where you can add an Operation Safe Return badge to your profile picture to show your friends and family that you support the troops. When you download your new profile picture, the Jeep brand will donate $1 to the SAFE Return Fund in partnership with the USO.

Since 1941, the Jeep brand has been proud to support our troops. Back then, we carried them wherever they needed to go and introduced a highly capable vehicle to get them through the thick and thin.

Today, we stand hand in hand with the USO in support of military families worldwide and welcome them home. Help support the troops by visiting the Jeep Facebook page to add the Operation Safe Return badge to your profile picture.

Chrysler Sales are up, Adding 1,100 New Jobs

The Detroit Press has reported Chrysler announced they will add 1,100 new jobs to their Toledo North Assembly Plant.

Chrysler bankrupt in 2009 bailed out by the U.S. Treasury is debt free and now employing thousands of Americans.  The automotive company is making strides despite a down economy.

Chrysler Group's sales have popped since hitting rock bottom. July of 2011 was the best month Chrysler has posted since 2007. The Auto Group reported U.S. sales of 112,026, a 20% increase compared with sales in July 2010 (93,313 units).

Jeep has been the backbone of Chrysler's recent emergence. Jeep posted a 46% sales increase, the best sales volume month since March of 2008. It's also the Brand's 15th consecutive month of year-over year sales gain.

The Jeep compass once a mundane vehicle, is now in popular demand. Sales have increased 240% from last year. The Mid-size SUV is gaining attention because of a redesigned body and having the capability to average 28 MPG.

The Jeep Wrangler sold 14,355 units setting a monthly sales record. Chrysler credits spike in sales to new Mopar JK-8 conversion kit. The kit turns 4-door Wranglers into 2-door pickup trucks.
All-new designed 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee posted a 76% sales increase compared to July of 2010. The Jeep vehicle won several awards since being introduced in dealerships and considered “the premium icon of Jeep.”

Lucky to exist, Chrysler took necessary steps improving vehicle models. Although there's a long road ahead, they're regaining trust of American Consumers.
